We were informed that there was an accident that occurred after the Magic Circle Festival where one of our fans was unfortunately struck by a moving vehicle outside the festival grounds, resulting in his death. We are all very sorry for the loss of of one of our true brothers of metal and we all send our deepest sympathy to his family and friends.

The Second Edition Of The Magic Circle Festival in Bad Arolsen, Germany Was A Success.
Over 35,000 rabid fans braved the cold winds and rain to witness the “Spectacle of Might” known as MANOWAR and their special guests between July 9th-12th. MANOWAR headlined the Friday and Saturday nights of the festival, performing their first six albums back to back. The highlight of their performance was the 20th Anniversary of the Kings of Metal album, which boasted a 20 person men's choir onstage. In addition, they performed their new single, Die With Honor, 20,000 copies of which were given away to those in attendance (in addition to 20,000 free beers and the giving away of 4 custom built choppers owned by the band).
Very special guest Alice Cooper headlined the Thursday night presenting his classic live stage show. Heavy metal legend Doro Pesch, and her band performed all their greatest hits and wooed the crowd. One of the big surprises was HolyHell. Being no strangers to Germany in the past few years. HolyHell had one of the best responses from the Saturday crowd. The played two new songs from their yet to be released debut album, proving they are force to deal with in the metal scene.
Other highlights were performances by W.A.S.P., Ted Nugent, MSG, Benedictum, Titanium Black, Jack Starr's Burning Star, Death Angel, Beloved Enemy, Mob Rules, Sixth Sense, Gotthard, Brazen Abbot (featuring Joe Lyn Turner), Stormwarrior, Krypteria, Kobus and Metal Force featuring ex-Majesty singer Tarek.
Thousands of fans thrilled to the chance to have an autograph with all members of MANOWAR, and due to overwhelming demand, the band signed non-stop for 12 hours over a 2-day period. They were not able to complete all the autograph requests, and next year they will be adding an extra day of autographs to make every fan happy.

...this is by far the most number of flags that have ever been seen in a heavy metal performance. People came in from all over the world (over 30 different countries) to see this once in a lifetime event.
Joey DeMaio revealed long awaited details about a secret project. He announced that next year; they would perform their new (as yet untitled and unreleased) album onstage. And it is not just a normal album… it will be written in collaboration with the biggest selling German author Wolfgang Holbein (over 35 million books sold), and will include a tie-in novel and feature film and video game.
This year's success has insured an even bigger Magic Circle Festival in 2009.

Magic Circle Festival 2008 Update
Due to contractual difficulties, both WHITESNAKE and DEF LEPPARD have had to withdraw from the Magic Circle in Germany on July 12, 2008.

The second annual Magic Circle Festival is held in Bad Arolsen/Germany. Magic Circle Festival 2008 to Host Authentic Viking Ceremony
Authentic modern Vikings from Sweden will take part in an authentic Viking marriage ceremony as part of the ever-growing Magic Circle Festival 2008 in Bad Arolsen, Germany. Utilizing ancient ceremonial rights and the symbol of Thor, the Norse thunder god, the ceremony will be accompanied by the music of MANOWAR and a special "closing of the circle" by Joey DeMaio. Trash Comedian Konrad Stöckel Wreaks Havoc On Magic Circle Festival
The latest attraction for this year's Magic Circle Festival in Bad Arolsen has been announced: Konrad Stöckel, the famous German "trash" comedian and chaos magician will be performing at the Magic Circle Festival between artists' sets and will wreak some comedy havoc upon the fans with his numerous arts of conjuring and spectacular showmanship.
Konrad became known through his countless TV appearances in shows such as Nightwash, Comedy Hot Shot, NDR Talkshow, the Quatsch Comedy Club and many more. His "firecracker up the ass" routine became a recent TV hit and his "nail-in-nose" effect and the eating of lightbulbs and stones are classic tricks.
For the Magic Circle Festival, Konrad intends to bring a new performance that no German stage has seen before. "I am totally amazed to be able to perform at the Magic Circle Festival. Finally, my act won't be censored like it is on TV. There will be bloodshed! I have been preparing for weeks already and it's a great honor for me to perform on the same stage as MANOWAR."

Michael Schenker Group (MSG), Beloved Enemy, Titanium Black, Mob Rules and Benedictum have been confirmed for the Magic Circle Festival 2008, set to take place July 9-12 in Bad Arolsen, Germany.
Also, a third full day of music has been added to the Magic Circle Festival at no additional charge.
